Wrap
There is little I like better than discovering something new and exciting. It may have been around for a while. Everyone may have already come across it, become enamoured of it, immersed themselves completely in it and - perhaps - eventually grown bored of it. None of this matters one jot to me - I feel as ecstatic as a child who is convinced that he/she has just discovered handstands.
Allow me to introduce Wrap, an ingenious magazine I purchased just the other day. I thought it might be fun to come up with my own Instructions For Use, so here goes.
1. Drink in the luscious cover and run your fingers over it for a moment.

2. Enjoy the articles and interviews within.

* I am particularly intrigued by Top Dog, myself.

**Warning: You may be held captive by pages resplendent in vibrant colour and artwork along the way.
3. Carefully remove the super-size elastic band from its centre and save aforementioned pages for wrapping the presents of special friends, treasured relatives and people you would like to impress.

4. Avail yourself of the miniature versions thoughtfully provided as notecards on the back.
You can buy a copy of your very own here.

Pattern feast! What a great find.
It certainly is! Thank you, Deepa - glad you like it. :)
What a great find, Chi! Yes, I agree, I would be held captive by this magazine. It's funny, I do use old magazines (Vogue, Elle...) to wrap gifts sometimes. This magazines takes it to the next level...plus notecards!
I had a sneaking suspicion that it would appeal to you, T! :D
I've wrapped presents using magazine pages, too but they only work with smaller gifts unfortunately. :(
Theresa, your comment reminds me that I used to cover textbooks in ads ripped from magazines back in high school. Digging in my bag for "Chanel" instead of "Trigonometry" made me feel so much better!
My friends and I used to do that, too, Deepa. :)
"Digging in my bag for "Chanel" instead of "Trigonometry" made me feel so much better!"
Haha! Absolutely!! :D
WHOA. I love that idea. My dad liked to wrap presents in unconventional paper (the comics section of the newspaper, for one) but I've tended to be more traditional. This is a great idea! A magazine that's meant to do more than just sit in your basket after you're done with it or then sit in a recycling bin. Thanks for the tip, Chi!
You're welcome, duckie - my pleasure!
The more I learn about your Dad, the more I realise what an incredibly cool and creative person he was. :)
I was becoming a little jaded about traditional wrapping paper so I couldn't have made this discovery at a better time, really. :D
Oh Chi I love this! I've never heard of it. Great find. I used to cover my exercise books at school in pages from Smash Hits :)
Thanks, Annie-bee! x
Ah, Smash Hits - good times ......... :)
I love Wrap and am glad you discovered it. It's totally unique and a visual feast.
Lovely post and your personal input is fun.
I felt the same way as you when I first came across it. Happy to be the last one commenting as the others didn't know it:)
Thanks, Tina! x
"It's totally unique and a visual feast."
It certainly is! I just might frame one of those wrapping papers - they're such gorgeous works of art. :)
Love this! I've never seen it but now must hunt it down!
