The Pia Posse

I'm not quite sure when it happened but I have become part of something online that I had heard about and always wished to belong to as a blogger. A Community.

When I began this blog (little more than three months ago), I hoped that whoever read it would think me funny and witty and, therefore, keep coming back for more. In truth, I did not expect to have "regulars" quite so soon. My readership, though modest, is made up of a small group of whom I have grown rather fond.

We now visit each other's blogs regularly and I have come to look forward to these virtual trysts daily. We stop by to offer encouragement, participate in light-hearted banter and we learn something new along the way.

I would like to introduce them, if I may.

Erin (internet sleuth extraordinaire) documents her latest fashion, interior design and macaron finds curated from around the globe.

Annie writes about the best places, things and moon boots to see and be seen in.

Tina has the best anecdotes you will ever hear/read - so does Erin, come to think of it! - and rides a Vespa.

LA resident, Theresa is fast becoming a resource for all that is insouciantly cool and covetable.

Lauren provides evocative insights - punctuated by her breathtaking photography - into her life in the Tidewater of Virginia.

I have dubbed them The Pia Posse (our little joke) and I feel incredibly lucky to have them in my world.

OH my gosh, Chi, this is amazing! I love how you put it all together and each description is perfectly written. I tell you, the way you, Tina, and Annie write makes anything sound sophisticated and interesting. You could talk about going to the bathroom (oh, yea, Annie did that) and it sounds totally upstanding. How did I get so lucky to fall into such an uplifting community of women? Thank you for your continued support and camaraderie, Chi. It means the world.

Tina drives a Vespa?! I think I had a little swoon!

Chi, what a lovely tribute to our wonderful community! I am so, so touched by this and by you – all of you – I can't even begin to express. Who knew when we all gathered on the internet last fall that it would turn out like this? Who knew?

Just the best of gifts and thank you for expressing it so beautifully. xo

Chi, what a fantastic post! I love all the descriptions and pictures you have chosen for each of us. It just demonstrates the differences, similarities but foremost the creativity, love and respect that goes with it.

After reading Seth Godin's 'Tribes', I set out to go and find my own tribes. I am so glad I found you guys. As always: women rock! Here is to sassy bloggers.

Pia Posse! xoxo I don't know how I missed this post but oooh boy did it bring a smile to my face reading it. I feel like we're on the same page. I never thought when I started blogging I'd end up with you girls in my 'posse.' It's been magical, to say the least! Your write-ups are so spot-on!

Tina drives a Vespa?? I just died with envy! I learn something new everyday :)

Theresa that just made me spit pineapple all over my keyboard in laughter! Can I point out the please that Erin is the one who's always talking about weeing? I can't believe how many photos Erin has posted about macaroons. Really her blog should be called 'iLikeWantNeedMacaroons'. Ah and Lauren's photo, that's when I first started reading her blog, that post on hunting was beautiful and I was hooked from there.

God damn that was a good cocktail!

Well you all know what I think. Like making friends at school, some of whom remain great friends for your whole life. That's how it feels. I'm not very good at the gushy stuff (being British, Tina!) but blogging with you guys is one of the happiest things in my life right now and I could never have believed it would turn out like that. So thank you all! And thank you Chi deary for such a wonderful post xxx

I really think we should set up some sort of blogging collective, pool our posts together. A UKUSA Lifestyle blogging collective or something.

Love you all! And Sue, going to check out your blog too

Your friends all sound great, you are so lucky to have met a wonderful community like that. One of the main reasons I started blogging was that I wanted to meet interesting, creative people from all over the world, because that's the most important and fun thing about blogging.
